Meeting Notes
1. Golf Tournament: Oct 2, 2009: Susan Niñio: The Alumni Association will
sponsor one team, 4 players for $500, at the upcoming Antonian Alumni Golf
Tournament held at La Cantera
2. Olympic Hopeful: Abbie Rustin- Antonian Graduate: We are discussing a
way to help Abbie fund raise for her trip to the Olympics to compete in shot-put.
Charlie will discuss with her what the rules and restrictions are for Olympic
athletes fund raising. We are open to the ideas of an email campaign, a raffle
at the wild game dinner, or some type of fund matching. We are extending an
invite to the December meeting/social to Abbie.
3. 1979 Class Reunion: Oct. 10, 2009: Ken: Alumni will send out an email blast
reminding everyone about the event. The evite was placed on the website and
about 80 people have done an RSVP. Alumni will have one officer in
appearance and will donate $200 to the event.
4. Homecoming Game: October 21, 2009: Tailgate Party: Susan and the
booster club have given the OK for the Alumni Association to have an event at
the school. We have decided to have a hot dog, sausage, and Frito-pie tailgate
near the softball field. This will be a family event. We will encourage people to
buy drinks at the concession to support the booster club. We will send out an
email blast and put it on the website.
5. Wild Game Dinner: Early table reservation: A mail out will be sent on Oct
1, 2009 for the 37th Wild Game Dinner to previous years table purchasers. The
website will be updated to reflect this announcement and have a statement letting
all those who are interested to contact us to verify their current address.
6. Antonian Alumni Volunteer Group: Cindy: Volunteer group is growing and
is raising a lot of money for continuing education expenses. The 10% contributed
to the Antonian Alumni Association is going to be placed in the money market
account. The amount is about $2000. This money will go in sometime in
October.
